A tranquil looking scene turned chaotic Wednesday near the Rose Bowl in what's being described as a "dust devil" event. While there wasn't a cloud in sight, tornado-like winds whipped up fanfest tents and tossed debris, sending people scattering as if there was severe weather. Sister station KTLA reports that a meteorologist with the National Weather Service viewed video posted to YouTube and said the incident was likely a dust devil. The meteorologist told KTLA that winds in the area were strong as a cold storm system lingered over Southern California. The Pasadena Fire Department treated three people for minor injuries and a fourth who suffered a finger injury, none of the injured people needed to go to the hospital.
