A U.S. Airways flight from Philadelphia to Houston made an emergency landing Monday night after its nose gear didn't deploy, officials said. The plane's nose skidded on a runway at Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport before slowing to a halt. The Embraer 190 had 52 passengers and four crew members on board, said Victoria Lupica, spokeswoman for American Airlines, which merged with U.S. Airways. "The passengers exited the aircraft on the tarmac via aircraft slides," she said. "One passenger has been transported to a local hospital, however the injuries of that passenger are not reported to be serious." The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating, FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said.
