Description:

Environment Canada issued a weather summary Sunday morning after heavy snowfall in Saskatchewan. A snowfall warning has ended in Saskatoon but not before a massive accumulation of snow. The agency said a spring storm impacted central areas of the province over a period of 24 hours bringing rain and heavy snow. The heaviest snow fell in an axis that stretched roughly from Outlook northeast through Saskatoon towards the Prince Albert and Melfort regions. Between 10 and 30 centimetres of snow was reported. Numerous reports indicate that the Saskatoon area was the hardest hit with up to 30 centimetres accumulated. The heavy snow caused dangerous road conditions and led to some power outages in the city. According to the forecast, Saskatoon is expected to reach a high of 7°C on Monday and 18°C on Tuesday.
